Castillo de San Gabriel
The Castillo de San Gabriel (also known as the Castle of San Gabriel) is a fortress located in the city of Arrecife, on the island of Lanzarote. The castle was built in the late 18th century as a defensive structure to protect the city from pirate attacks. It was later used as a prison.
Today, the castle is open to the public as a museum and cultural center, showcasing the island’s history and showcasing exhibitions of art and photography.
The Castle is located in the heart of the city of Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote, and is easily accessible by foot or by car.
